About the Opportunity
The B2B Sales Manager role is to generate sales/business growth and provides key account support for United’s customers. You will draw on multiple sources of information and insight (customer, competitors, market insight / trends, group insight, trading / economic environment) to attract new customers. This is a multi-dimensional position, which incorporates customer account management, new business development and a retention aspect.
Key Accountabilities:
- Establish sales opportunities by networking, building relationships, establishing needs, and closing deals across United Petroleum’s Dealer, B2B, Wholesale and retail 3rd party owned and operated segments in Central Queensland.
- Ensure effective sales support and account management for existing and prospective customers:
- Pro-active calling of identified key customers as per agreed Service Levels.
- Using reporting and data to identify opportunities within this customer base.
- Using business retention strategies to retain existing customer base.
- Obtaining leads from existing customers for sales opportunities.
- Help grow the business through proactive sales calls:
- Prospecting to identify potential customers to explore opportunities and develop new sales.
- Working with internal Retail, B2B and Distributor Managers to identify potential accounts and customers.
- Ensuring effective close out of new deals and providing the follow through to ensure a seamless onboarding and point of reference for new customers.
- Use CRM consistently and diligently to manage the above processes.
- Monitor Competitor Activity from your interactions and observations from customer conversations.
Success in this role will be through developing strong customer relationships and utilising commercial acumen and negotiating skills to deliver value to the business.
Experience:
- At least 2 years’ experience in managing customer relationships.
- Proven experience and success in B2B sales and generating growth.
- Knowledge of branded and unbranded retail sites (DODO / Dealer).
- Driven and energetic to achieve results, learn and work effectively to build a high-performance sale culture.
- Sound communication, interaction and negotiation skills to achieve sales and provide exceptional account experience for our customers.
- Strong commercial, analytical and problem-solving skills to develop and review proposals for potential customers and explore options.
- The ability to use a CRM and Microsoft Office to ensure good customer information management and accounts.
