We have just opened a multi-million dollar contemporary dining precinct within the Club to expand facilities further for Members and their guests. Tattersall’s continuing growth and evolution is hinged upon exciting initiatives that instil the Club’s brand virtues on new male and female audiences of tomorrow.
Our priority is to develop a highly engaged and high-performing team under our newly appointed two-time Chef Hat winning Executive Chef and delight our members by creating exceptional food and bar experiences. Our new contemporary dining precinct will celebrate the fine traditions of the club whilst bringing a new energy and vibrancy to our dining offering. Featuring a brand new 100 seat dining room and bar with a stunning 30 seat private dining room the space will bring a number of new and exciting food and beverage offerings to our members.
Key Responsibilities
As the Banquet Services Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day operations within the functions team and maintain a hands-on approach to the internal workings of the business. You will deliver outstanding events and functions that leave a lasting impression on our members and guests.
You will be competent in all facets of banquets, including:
- Coordinating and overseeing the daily conference and banquet operations
- Managing client expectations to ensure the smooth running of each and every event, from the moment our client sets foot onsite to the moment they leave
- Liaising with Conference organisers to establish day to day needs and special requirements
- Liaising with other departments as necessary to ensure you have a thorough understanding of the event requirements to deliver an exceptional function
- Assist in the follow up of all guest comments, requests and complaints
- Leading a team (of up to 20 staff) in a fast-paced environment
- Communicating with staff to ensure all function rooms are set up as per function sheets
- Managing equipment needs and all equipment is in full working order at all times
- Taking pride in the workplace and ensuring our venues are well maintained throughout our events
Other Requirements
- Customer Service: Providing exceptional service with a warm and welcoming attitude, ensuring members and guests have a memorable and enjoyable experience.
- Experience leading a function (both lunch and dinner) for up to 200 guests; excelling in customer service with a focus on an exceptional Member experience
- Motivating and driving a team to exceed their targets
- Ability to work under pressure and be solutions oriented
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
- Supervisory experience in a fast paced environment
- Impeccable grooming and personal presentation
- Compliance: Adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations, as well as responsible alcohol service guidelines
