About The Role:
Mount Erica Hotel presents an opportunity for an aspiring manager ready to step up with the guidance of industry experts. This role offers the chance to curate a seasonal, rotating cocktail list that stays ahead of international trends, delighting our discerning clientele. You'll also have the opportunity to develop the pub’s beer programme, both the tap list and beer cans offering, and collaborate with our wine buyer to create an enticing aperitif and digestif menu. Engage in robust training and development programmes for your team, ensuring excellence in service and hospitality.
Your role will be instrumental in ensuring the consistency of our product and service, helping us to further our reputation as the pub to be.
As Bar Manager, you’ll oversee the smooth operation of our three internal bars, craft captivating drinks menus, and curate a dynamic tap beer selection. Collaborate closely with our Venue Manager to ensure profitable trade and maintain an exceptional customer experience.
THe Rolle Will Require:
- Leadership Skills: Exhibit strong leadership abilities to motivate and manage a large team, ensuring all staff are well-trained and perform their duties effectively.
- Organisational Skills: Demonstrate excellent organisational prowess to manage multiple bars, including inventory, staff scheduling, and event planning.
- Customer Service Excellence: Commit to providing outstanding customer service, creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all patrons.
- Knowledge of Beverages: Possess in-depth knowledge of beer, including craft beers, and expertise in creating innovative cocktails.
- Creativity: Develop appealing cocktail recipes that are accessible to turn out to a consistent standard during peak times
- Financial Acumen: Show proficiency in reconciliation (OrderMate), inventory management (ReStock), and cost control.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and quality across all venue bars.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Quickly address and resolve any issues that arise during service with adept problem-solving abilities.
- Communication Skills: Liaise effectively with staff, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations and a cohesive team environment.
- Adaptability: Adapt to changing circumstances, including busy periods, special events, and evolving customer preferences.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understand licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and compliance requirements with an up-to-date RSA.
- Passion for Hospitality: Demonstrate a genuine passion for the hospitality industry, with a commitment to creating memorable experiences for our community.
- Experience: Have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a Duty Manager or above.
