Duties & responsibilities
Your job tasks and responsibilities will be but not limited to:
- Venue management of hospitality aspects Rivermakers, but opportunities at Oxford Street also
- Supervision of team of front of house team, including rostering and shift management
- Venue maintenance including coordinating repairs via 3rd parties, cleaning and general maintenance
- Event management/coordination/participation on and off-site
- Support and driving function trade
- Handling function emails
- Mentorship and training of assistant staff, implement a rigid training matrix to support the team
- Ensuring compliance with OH&S and OLGR polices
- Maintain and champion our core values, ethics and team culture
- Understand and develop a great team dynamic
- Implement a Culture of beer appreciation for the Revel Hospitality team.
- Manage GP expectations and drive profitable margins.
- Manage Wage costs
- Support the Kitchen team with cost management and service execution.
- Roll out regular stock takes and manage shrinkage - "not sure about the word of this one"
- Previous experience in venue activation and marketing.
- Effective and timely daily reporting via online tools
- Updating of all brewery venue records and registers where applicable for
- Interaction with public at tap room, events, brewery tours and hosted evenings
Skills & experience
To be considered for this role you will need to have :
- Must be passionate about beer and love the hospitality industry
- Sound understanding of Excel & Office
- Sound understanding of Stock management and GP expectations.
- Appreciation for Food and menu design.
- Highly passionate, enthusiastic, team player with excellent communication skills
- An autonomous, professional worker, with a can-do attitude
- Minimum 2 years hospitality management experience
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- High standards of personal presentation
- Current RMLV or the willingness to obtain
- Solid understanding (or willingness to learn) of beer styles, flavour profiles, and a passion for good food!
- Demonstrated ability to generate new ideas
- Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced, flexible and fast growing small business model (i.e willing to wear many hats)
This role is open to Australian permanent residents or citizens only.
This role will include night and weekend work.
