Rick Shores restaurant is looking for a Bar Manager to take over the reigns at one of Queenslands most highly regarded and iconic beach side restaurants.

The Role
You'll be someone who thrives in busy restaurant bar environment and enjoys leading your department from the front. You'll not only be responsible for the day-to-day running of the bar, but also back of house duties; stocktaking, rostering, ordering, menu creation, staff training and development etc.
We are looking for a Bar Manager that enjoys seeing their team grow and develop into future leaders. Due to the fast paced nature of service at Rick Shores, we are looking for someone who maintains composure, is a great communicator and leads by example, no matter how busy we are.
What we will be looking for
Ideally you will have proven experience in a similar role, or at least 3 years experience as a bar assistant manager or supervisor. Strong cocktail knowledge with a good understanding of wines is a non-negotiable, as well as a positive management style. You will have confidence with leading your dept, be approachable and open to giving and sharing feedback. A reminder that this is a Bar Manager position in a busy hatted restaurant, so you will be required to engage with guests and be able to present yourself on the floor at times, in a professional, engaging and positive way.
- Minimum 3 years experience in bar management is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop your team.
- Organised, strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Good knowledge of POS and rostering systems (ordermate, human force, open table)
- Positive and approachable style of management
- Keen interest in keeping up to date with beverage trends
- Proven experience in inventory management (stocktake) and cost control.
- Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
- Work life balance with 38-45hrs a week
- Having full control of cocktail menu design, however ensuring to include your team in the process
