Bar Manager

Murrumbeena Wine Bar is a relaxing venue which seating for around 50PAX. Currently being run exclusively as a hireable function venue but with plans to become a wine bar open to the public once again.

Operating: 5 Days (Possibility to be extended to 7). Wed-Thurs 5pm-12am, Fri-Sun 12pm-12am

We are looking for an experienced and committed Bar Manager to join us to provide excellent service to our customers and leadership to our small team.

The ideal candidate would have the following traits:

• Experience in bar operations – ideally in management roles
• Friendly and outgoing personality with an ability to talk to a range of people
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of 2-4 staff members
• Strong teamwork skills
• High standards and ability to multitask under pressure
• Have a valid RSA

Ideal non-essential qualities

• Strong knowledge of wines, beers and cocktails
• Experience creating and managing a roster
• Experience in payroll and Xero

Key tasks & responsibilities

• Running of day-to-day operations including open and close of business
• General bar duties and customer service
• Stock taking and ordering
• Staff rostering, training and management
• Procedure development and implementation
• Organising and managing bookings
• Party and function event hire and management
• Handling customer complaints
