Form of workExclusive Eastern Suburbs Yacht Club is seeking a pro-active, hospitality minded individual to run our bar. Applicants experienced in fine dining restaurants, hotels, and upmarket clubs preferred. The highest standards of caring, professional and diplomatic guest service is expected.
This is a casual position of approximately 30 - 35 hours per week. Club Award Grade 3 plus weekend and public holiday penalties and tips.
Your duties will include face to face guest service; organization and turn over of stock for bar, restaurant and cafe; expediting drinks to restaurant during service periods; and development of cocktail lists.
Successful applicants will be friendly and well presented, good communicators and able to work at pace. They will possess a thorough grounding in classic cocktails and a good working knowledge of Australian and international wines and spirits. An ability to learn new POS systems and correctly handle charging membership accounts is required. Barista and/or waitering experience an advantage.
Saturday and Sunday availability are expected along with willingness to work public holidays such as those over the Easter period, and Christmas time.
