Form of workSince 1859, the Morris family have been making award-winning fortified wines and are regarded as one of the best fortified producers in the world. At the heart of our distillery is the original 1930s hybrid copper-pot and column still.
We are seeking experienced casual Bartenders with cocktail experience who share our passion for being a ‘must visit’ destination at the iconic Morris Wines, located in the Rutherglen region. This role will involve the day to day operations of the new state of the art bar facilities as well as working in our cellar door for tastings and sales. In this role you will be showcasing unique and memorable styles of cocktails and mixed drinks using the finest Spirits, Wine & Fortifieds Morris are world renowned for.
Duties include:
- Responsibility of daily setup, operations and maintenance of bar
- Develop new styles of mixed drinks & cocktails
- Assist in wine tasting experiences and sales
- Managing stock and orders with the Cellar Door team
- Accurately record tasting stock
- Adherence to all stated WHS procedures and practices
- Conduct your work safely, efficiently and diligently at all times
Essential Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience as a Bartender
- Outstanding communication & interpersonal skills
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
- Sales and customer service experience
- Flexible to work across a weekly roster, including weekends
- Mixology experience (desirable)
- Cellar Door experience (desirable)
