The team is responsible for a range of communications from public relations and business, products and launches to internal messaging and events.
About the Role
The role of the Beauty Influencer & Communications Manager is to drive and champion the Beauty category in ANZ across Communications and influencer-marketing; developing transformational, long-term strategies that deliver high impact as we pivot to become more Beauty-centric as an organisation. The individual is a natural storyteller who can show how our technology is better, how it is developed and why it works differently - conveying our bold ambitions, risk-taking mindset and engineering ethos in the process.
As a key support to the ANZ, APAC and global Communications and Commercial teams, the individual will take a lead role in driving impact in the Beauty space across both product and non-product campaigns through a journalist and influencer lens. Focus will be on Beauty campaigns that enable Dyson to sustain press and social coverage beyond new product launches as well as wider day-to-day market support, closely collaborating with Marketing, Advocacy, Social and Creative teams, as well as Communications and influencer experts in other markets.
Main responsibilities include but not limited to:-
Develop the Communications and influencer strategy for Dyson Beauty in ANZ with a focus on maximising impact and landing core narratives underpinned by our technologies, our problem-solving approach to engineering and the Dyson philosophy
Create engaging, educational and socially shareable ways of bringing Dyson Beauty to life, for both new product and non-product campaigns
Amplify storytelling across each campaign, drive awareness, and align with Global PR, Communications and Marketing objectives to position Dyson as an aspirational and premium Beauty company
Demonstrate effective budget management, contract negotiations, agent relationships, briefs and integration into media, PR, content and Marketing programs to ensure maximum ROI
Maximise each and every narrative to build Dyson's reputation as an aspirational and premium Beauty company, drive desirability and highlight the unique scientific approach behind Dyson as a global technology company with superior performing technologies
Work closely with Dyson's creative, content, PR and Commercial teams to ensure that content is leveraged in order to elevate and grow Dyson's owned channels
Be a regional/global leader for the Dyson Beauty category collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders to plan and execute high performance campaigns
Share insights and best practices for influencer and event activity across markets & regions. Develop strong relationship with social and content team to understand how influencer strategies are unique and tailored by platform
Implement high impact Communications and influencer campaign executions across the traditional and social media space
Demonstrate agility remaining on the pulse of influencer content trends to ensure creative lands maximum exposure. Work closely with social and SEO leads to ensure content is optimised and amplified
Manage and deliver robust reports and processes to communicate the value of campaign results and create actionable insights for future product and storytelling campaigns; integrate social data into broader digital marketing reports to ensure data-driven content decisions
Build engagement with the right creators, influencers, KOLs, press and internally to strengthen Dyson's presence in the beauty space
Provide strategic guidance to cross-functional teams in-market to ensure aligned storytelling, messaging and creative
Develop and maintain global consistency managing influencer relationships end-to-end, including communication, contracts, product allocation and creative briefs. Drive internal engagement initiatives to educate and inspire Dyson people
About You
The successful candidate will have a passion for beauty and technology, with a strong knowledge of the media and influencer landscapes across ANZ. You are a lateral and creative thinker who is solution-focused and assertive while being open-minded & collaborative.
Previous skills & experience:-
Solid experience in influencer marketing and Communications with premium beauty brand(s) and a strong network of beauty creators/influencers/KOLs/press in ANZ
Multi-platform experience running campaigns across a range of social media channels with competency in influencer marketing, digital, social and Communications
Project management skills including experience of working across complex multi-stakeholder initiatives
Strong presentation and executional skills
Experience working with influencer and content management tools
Proven ability to develop legal contracts for partners, influencers and agencies
Understands influencer search tools and platforms to assess the effectiveness of an influencer
Proven record of achievement and ability to problem solve, pivot, multi-task and embrace change
