We pride ourselves on the professionalism with which we pursue our goals and our strong links into our community.The OpportunityIn line with Bengalla’s expansion project, we currently have multiple opportunities available for Service Technicians with a trade background on a permanent, full-time basis. Working a 12.5 hour rotating lifestyle roster and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for: Operating a service truck in the pit and carrying out routine refueling and lube service work on HME Carrying out visual inspections of HME including tyres during refueling and reporting on any defects found Sampling of oil and changing of oil and filters as required.Qualifications and ExperienceThe successful candidate will be a flexible team player and will have: A Mechanical Trade Qualifications (Light Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle, Diesel Fitter or Plant mechanic) Demonstrated experience with servicing or maintenance of heavy mining equipment is desired. (Liebherr and Hitachi Excavators, Hitachi, Cat and Komatsu Trucks Cat Dozers and ancillary machines) Strong safety mindset Excellent communication skills Sound computer skills Excellent work quality and attention to detail Ability to work autonomously and in a team A focus on continuous improvement, working safely and meeting environmental standards Previous experience operating HME or service trucks would be strongly desired Preference for Upper Hunter residents as per Bengalla’s fatigue guidelines What We OfferBengalla values its people and their contribution to the operation.
