About the Role
Working closely with the company directors, engineering and operations teams this important new role will consolidate previously distributed activities undertaking the following key responsibilities:
- Log, analyse and prioritise opportunities for bid submission from both internal and external sources
- Participate in industry forums and major project launch events to ensure MCA Engineering is registered for project involvement where appropriate
- Leading and managing the planning, preparation, compliance, review and submission of bid responses
- Facilitate bid review meetings and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure all concerns or issues are addressed
- Collaborate with estimating, engineering and operations teams to develop competitive pricing strategies that align with bid requirements and targets
- Participate in negotiations with clients where necessary
Skills and Qualifications
Ideally the candidate will possess all the following attributes however first and foremost experience and the ability to work well in a team environment will be highly regarded:
- Minimum of 4 years experience in bid management or a similar role within the mining or construction industry
- Strong understanding of the bid process and tender compliance requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in an energetic team environment
