About the role:
As a member of the Alinta Energy Retail Markets group, the Billing Analyst role specifically focuses on delivering accurate and timely invoicing of our Residential and SME customers, analysing, and identifying process improvements and supporting back-office operations. This role will also support the Functional Lead within the team area, and work closely with all internal colleagues, third-party vendors, and network distribution companies. This is a 12 month initial contract, with the potential to turn into a permanent opportunity depending on business requirements.
In this role, you’ll be:
Reconciling our back-office operations and driving customer service excellence
Reconciling and analysing gas and electricity
Interacting with internal and external Stakeholders to resolve any billing issues and answer inquiries
Providing key data insights to provide process improvement recommendations
Testing system changes
Ideally, you’ll bring to the role:
Experience within a retail operations unit of an Australian Energy company
Experience using JIRA and preferably SQL
Knowledge of billing operation systems
Intermediate to Advanced knowledge and utilisation of Excel in a professional environment
Resilience and adaptability to a fast-paced, everchanging environment where no two days are the same and the willingness to learn
