THE OPPORTUNITY
Working a 40 hour week, within a collaborative and experienced team of billing officers you will be responsible for ensuring data is entered timely and accurately into our freight management system. This role is vital for billing our customers on time and critical to the day-to-day operations of the finance team. The successful applicant will need to be flexible and adaptable in an interesting and diverse environment with the ability to assist across key functions. Accurate and timely data entry of consignment notes is a significant part of the role.
Key responsibilities for the role include but not limited to:
- Create new customer accounts and set up profiles
- Accurate and timely data entry of consignment notes
- Review, consolidate and coordinate freight billing and charges
- Validate customer charges against contracted rates
- Invoicing & billing reconciliation
- Maintaining records of consignment notes
- Dispatch invoices / statements to customers
- Respond to customer queries regarding billing discrepancies
- Working to monthly KPIs
To be considered for this role you will require:
- A minimum of 1 years billing experience preferably within the transport/logistics industry
- Demonstrable understanding of invoicing and billing reconciliations
- Ability to accurately enter high volumes of consignment notes in a timely manner
- Intermediate skills across Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Professional, strong client-service attitude
- Strong time management and organisation skills
- 'Can do' attitude with a sense of urgency and adaptability

The minimum hours of work will be 40 hours per week Monday to Friday with additional overtime hours as required to meet the operational needs of our business.
