AE Hoskins maintains a 5 person accounts team, in a very friendly, supportive and busy environment with strict performance and reporting timelines. Your experience processing transactions in a job costing system (simPRO) with integration to Xero would be advantageous as would intermediate level proficiency with Excel & Teams. Workflows are well established within and between departments with full electronic transmission of documents and approvals.
The key duties of this role include:
- Raising AR invoices to our clients via simPRO involving:
- Following, summarizing and copying electronic job notes to the invoice as a narration.
- Ensuring that each specific customers requirements are met ie) invoice formatting, attachments, invoice submission portals, inclusions and exclusions.
- Review and verifying that supplier POs have been closed, all costs received, job profits meet those forecast prior to invoicing.
- Adhoc liaison with clients regarding invoice queries; including AR follow up of overdue amounts.
- AEH raise circa 1250 AR invoices each month.
- Daily oversight and monitoring of accounts department email inbox; flagging and redirecting documents and enquiries via Outlook & Teams:
- receipting of AP suppliers and contractor invoices, assigning each to appropriate colleagues for approval. Circa 1600 AP invoices per month.
- Adhoc accounting duties and reconciliations.
- A confident & outgoing personality would be an advantage as there will be a requirement to engage with client operations, trade supervisors and project admin staff on a daily basis.
There exists the scope for growth and development within the role, a heavy focus during the first year on AR; though we are very keen to develop and promote a “cross trained” accounts team going forward.
We are ideally seeking to employ someone with a minimum of three (3) years’ recent experience in a role with similar transactional throughput and a qualification in Accounting or Booking keeping.
