Due to continuous growth, our busy Billings team of two is expanding to three, with a newly created Billings Officer role available. As a vital member of the team, the Bliings Officer will play a pivotal role in the monthly fee collection process for Adviser and Admin fees from our valued clients. The roles responsibilities will encompass coordinating the monthly fee run, reconciling data anomalies, mitigating potential issues, and upholding data accuracy standards to eliminate risks and errors. If you are an analytical individual with a passion for big data with previous billings experience, this role could be for you! With that being said, please note that whilst the billings team works closely with our finance team, this is not an accounting role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meticulously reconcile monthly fee data and bank payment files.
- Ensure adherence to PDS and SLA standards before initiating fee deductions.
- Execute data integrity checks on fee Schedules and fee Rates.
- Analyze fee data for potential anomalies arising from system irregularities
- Collate final fee data, including rejections, for distribution to Advisors, RE, and Model Managers.
- Finalize accurate Finance Reports for our product offerings
- Manage Advisor queries and requests via email and Jira ticketing system
- Foster communication with internal teams and clients for effective collaboration.
Skills and experience required:
- 2 years minimum experience in a billings position
- Financial services industry experience desirable
- Intermediate excel skills encompassing data analysis and data manipulation
- Understanding of SLA’s and PDS’s with the ability to apply requirements to fees
- Strong experience with MS Office Suite and very comfortable with common cloud- based software
- Lateral & Analytical thinker with the ability to multi-task
- Proven problem-solving skills of complex issues
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to quality check own work to a high standard
- Strong relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Eager to learn, driven, motivated with a focus on contributing to the team as well as working independently
