We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and engaging Venue Operations Manager to join our Bingara Gorge Golf team and provide management and coordination of the day-to-day operations of the Golf course and golf shop.

The Venue

Bingara Gorge Golf Course is a unique course designed by Australian Golf Course Architect Graham Marsh and set in magnificent natural surroundings within a community development in Wilton NSW. It features five tees on each hole to deliver a golf experience to excite and challenge players of all levels. The par 72 golf course caters for a variety of routing options to suit all player types. Course highlights include holes 11 to 14, which wind around a beautiful central lake, and hole 16, a striking challenge to reach the manicured green over the dramatic gorge. 

We are approaching an exciting growth phase in the golf course development and are looking for an experienced manager to lead our team through its next phase.

Reporting to the State Manager - NSW you will hit the ground running, roll up your sleeves and join a high performing team.

With 2 direct reports and a 10+ strong team you will lead and oversee the key business units of Golf and Hospitality to ensure key deliverables, strategic business objectives and initiatives are met including financial objectives and optimal customer experience.

About you

In addition to the skills and experience detailed below you will be a great people person and a natural born leader; someone that promotes team wins over individual achievements. You will have a passion for the sport, recreation & wellness spaces and be comfortable working within Golf and Hospitality. 

Skills, experience and qualifications:

Essential

  • Significant, relevant, and demonstrated experience working at management level, of a sporting and or recreation facility. 
  • Proven experience in driving customer service excellence
  • Exceptional people leadership skills including developing high performing teams, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Ability to work and perform in a high paced, active environment.
  • Solid financial and business acumen.
  • Contractor and stakeholder management experience.
  • A proven history of results. 
  • Police check and Working with Children card

Desirable

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in recreation / business or similar discipline. 
  • Approved Manager & Hospitality experience
  • Project management, Marketing and Business development skills.
  • Proven ability and experience to coordinate and develop community involvement/events.
  • Public / Private Golf Course experience at a management level.
  • Current level 2 First Aid.
