About the role
Eastern Health has an excellent opportunity for a Biomedical Engineer to join the BME team helping to maintain comprehensive service delivery to Eastern Health hospitals within a supportive team environment.
Successful applicants will be assisting in the delivery of a comprehensive Biomedical Engineering service by performing clinical troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance.
This position offers a fabulous opportunity at a Grade 1 level.
About you
To be successful in this role you should possess:
- Formal qualifications in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent
- Eligible for membership to Engineers Australia or ACPSEM
- Knowledge of the relevant Australian Standards & their application to medical equipment
- An ability to communicate with clinical staff
- Self-motivation
- Intermediate computer hardware and software skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task
- Good theoretical and practical knowledge of engineering, a sound understanding of medical sciences with the ability to combine the two
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
