Full time Biomedical Engineer
Duties:
• Provide field Engineering support for Customers, End Users, and Sales Staff to ensure the
stable operation of customer purchased Laerdal products (hardware and software).
• Identifies, analyses and repairs product failures, orders replacement parts as required.
• Provide Service Manager with timely reports on activity, trends, and areas of concern in a
professional manner.
• Providing Tire 1 and Tire 2 support for all Laerdal equipment’s and software to the customers.
• Liaising with Biomedical Engineers and Lab technicians of different hospitals, universities, ambulance services and other health care centres to troubleshoot the challenges and provide solutions related to Laerdal equipment.
• Evaluating the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of healthcare simulators, Clinical equipment, and software.
• Monitoring the trends of clinical devices in different environment and liaise with global team to identify and mitigate risk factors on a patient.
• Creating video solutions on repairing Laerdal Suction units and provide it to other Biomedical Engineers to enhance patient outcome.
• Co-ordinating with team in maintaining, calibrating, and repairing incoming equipment.
• Educating and training the customers in using the products effectively in means of technical and clinical aspects.
• Developing and standardizing the process map for timely response and resolution for the product issues.
• Commitment to the principles of quality management and continuous quality improvement
• Performing safety pre-testing of the products.
• Install, troubleshoot and maintain all Laerdal ALS & BLS simulation equipment at our
customers install base.
• Ability to apply engineering principles, problem solving and self-organisation skills to deliver engineering services.
• Integrating ventilators, video laryngoscopes, defibrillators, and other clinical equipment with Laerdal simulation equipment and providing customized training solutions for healthcare providers to reduce medical errors.
Skills and Experience
• Relevant bachelor's degree is essential.
• Minimum three years of experience.
• Experience in dealing directly with customers.
• Prior experience with Laerdal simulators would be advantageous.
• Strong commitment to put customers first – through behaviours, decisions and choices made in the customer’s best interest.
• Broad healthcare industry knowledge and understanding of simulation and learning is essential.
• Technical troubleshooting and reverse engineering abilities is mandatory.
• Networking and advanced IT skills in network administration and TCP/IP protocols is an advantage.
