Job Description

Epworth HealthCare's enviable reputation as one of Australia's leading health providers continues to grow and we are seeking a Biomedical Engineer to support this growth. The role of Biomedical Engineer provides high quality biomedical services to wards and departments in relation to carrying out of preventative maintenance, breakdown services and front-line support. This will ensure equipment is maintained at optimum operation and clinical staff have the required technical support in a manner which is consistent with Epworth's mission and values.

The Epworth Biomedical Engineering team consists of dedicated engineers with on-site departments at Epworth Richmond, Freemasons (East Melbourne), Eastern (Box Hill) and Geelong. This full-time or part-time role will be based in Richmond and you will be part of the Biomedical Engineering team and report to the Biomedical Engineering manager.

You will make an impact by:

• Providing high quality Biomedical services to clinical wards and departments
• Performing equipment repairs and preventative maintenance to a high standard in line with manufacturers specifications and Australian Standards
• Providing excellent customer service to key stake holders
• Being a team player with strong customer service focus

Position Description         Inherent Requirements

Qualifications

You will have:

• A Biomedical Engineering degree, or similar, from an approved tertiary institution
• Minimum 4 years experience in the Biomedical Engineering field
• Experience in a hospital based setting with exposure to a wide range of medical equipment
• Sound technical skills
• Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards
• Accurate record keeping skills with previous experience using an asset management system
