About the Role
The Client Contact Group (CCG) is the central contact point for external clients to the department. The team responds to a diverse range of phone and email enquiries and accesses information about a broad range of topics to fulfil client expectations. Furthermore, CCG is responsible for actioning client requests for inspection of goods imported to Australia by booking appointments for Biosecurity Officers.
These jobs are based in a call centre environment and the main duties of a Biosecurity may include but are not limited to:
- Responding to client enquiries via telephone and email, provide accurate and timely advice to the importing community about how to import goods into Australia
- Processing inspection booking requests using departmental systems
- Managing the workflow and resourcing for inspections activities
- Demonstrate sound moral and ethical principles across all areas of work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to form views, provide advice and make effective evidence-based regulatory decisions in accordance with legislation, policies and procedures
- The ability to use initiative and work independently to meet operational demands while navigating through changing priorities
The successful candidate will notionally be offered a 6month hourly rate contract at the APS4 level. There are vacancies in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth.
As this role is with the Federal Government, only Australian citizens that hold a baseline clearance or a willingness to obtain, will be considered for this vacancy.
