We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Senior Leadership Team in the role of Board Secretary. In this pivotal role, you will partner with the Board Chair, Board Members, Board Committees and the CEO. Your primary focus will be to proactively collaborate with these key stakeholders and work closely with the Executive Leadership Team to ensure the effective governance in accordance with legislative requirements.
As the successful candidate you will have:
- Demonstrated expertise in understanding and aligning Board governance responsibilities with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Proven ability to effectively manage Board processes and secretariat functions, ensuring the smooth operation of board and committee meetings and other critical board events.
- Exceptional skills in providing comprehensive and accurate advice and timely management of Board and Committee business and communications.,
- Track record of supporting Board Chair and CEO in fulfilling corporate governance duties, including policy maintenance and regulatory alignment.
- Demonstrated capability in fostering inclusive collaboration, championing diversity, and cultivating a high-performing workplace culture.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality, collaborate effectively with senior individuals, and influence outcomes to meet the needs of identified stakeholders.
If you are successful in this role, you will be required to provide:
- A degree in law, business, or policy, coupled with relevant experience in Board and Corporate Governance, or an equivalent blend of experience and education/training.
- Membership with the Governance Institute of Australia and ideally Company Secretary qualifications from the Governance Institute of Australia.
- A current Police Check (date of issue is to be no more than 6 months prior to commencement date)
- A current Working with Children Check - Employee (or proof of application)
- A current Driver’s Licence (Car).
