We are a leading Sydney based distributor of commercial building products and currently have an opening for a Book Keeper / Office Assistant in our Smithfield operation on a full time basis.
Duties include:
- General Accounting duties (processing invoices, assisting AR/AP, reconciliation)
- Calculating and update customer /supplier price lists via Excel and accounting software.
- Assist with price/cost related analysis and investigation using Excel and other tools.
- Assist with document control duties such as sorting, filing files and emails.
- Assist with credit control such as credit applications and debt follow-up.
- Assist with developing accounting policies and internal controls and processes
- Assist in providing financial and taxation advice to management
- Regular shared mail and banking duties
The desired candidate will have:
- Accounting background preferred but not essential
- Good with numbers
- Good time management skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise work tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and with accurate typing and data entry skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin preferred but not essential
