A major draw will be the flexibility we offer, we all work from home, many of our team have families and work around home schedules. This is not a normal 9-5 office job, we take a more flexible approach.
The Job
We require the services of a reliable Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to support our growing team.
100% work from home, with occasional travel for events, meetings, team offsites. (Travel will be minimal for this role)
For the right person, this role is somewhere between 3-5 days a week and we're very happy to find the right schedule to that works for both. Returning to work, work during school hours, or outside 9-5 are OK with us, so long as the works gets done in a timely manner.
This is primarily a bookkeeper role, but we'd ideally like to find someone who can also support other areas within the business like Employment Hero admin and general admin. Experience with systems like Xero, ATO Tax portal, Employment Hero, Google Suite, Slack, Teams would be valuable.
Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping in Xero
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Payroll & Leave management
- Basic Financial reporting
Tax
- Prepare and submit Quarterly BAS statements to ATO.
- Prepare and submit Monthly IAS statements to ATO.
- Partner with our accountant on end of year tax requirements.
Banking
- Prepare & Upload all banking transactions to Bank (Commbiz)
- Submit for approval
Employment Hero / HR Admin
- Employment Hero Admin
- Create & manage employee profiles
- Update & Upload policies
- Recruitment admin - booking interviews, filing CV's, candidate comms
- Setting up new employees - Onboarding process
- Setting up email/slack accounts etc
General Admin
- Document management - signing, filing contracts / NDA's, employment agreements etc
- Calendar management support for senior team members
- Other general admin as required
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter, you'll need to manage your own schedule and stay on top of your daily tasks.
Must have:
- Experience with the Bookkeeping and ATO side is mandatory, the rest can be learned.
- High attention to detail and numeracy.
- Trustworthy and high integrity.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible, willingness to pitch in and ‘get it done’.
- Personable/nice to deal with.
- A team player who is happy to help out across the team and fill gaps where needed.
