As a key member and an integral part of this firm, you will work both autonomously and with the Principal by providing assistance around all aspects of legal finance. Your tasks will include (though not limited to):
- Monthly billing;
- Accounts receivable/payable
- Reconciling creditors and debtors ledgers
- Payroll/PAYG/Payroll Tax and Superannuation
- Trust, Office and controlled monies accounts
- BAS calculation and lodging
- Reporting
- General ad hoc duties as directed.
To be successful you will have previous experience as a Legal Accounts Administrator/Bookkeeper, software used Practice Evolve, Office 365 suite and Employment Hero.
About You
- You MUST have experience with trust accounting, ideally legal trust accounting.
- Advanced technical skills including in MS Office and legal practice management systems
- Highly developed communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Oversee onboarding, recruitment, and performance evaluations.
- Handle staff recruitment as necessary.
- Collaborate with the finance team to prepare budget forecasts.
