We are looking for a new addition to our growing team in a very important Client Bookkeeper role.
What would you be doing?
You would be given an allocated list of client files to take care of, this can include the following activities:-
- Recording the financial transactions of a business in Xero and using add-on programs such as Tanda and Dext.
- Arranging payment of creditor accounts via the provision of ABA files and in liaison with the client.
- Processing payroll and maintaining employee records.
- Carrying out bank reconciliations.
- Checking and reporting for preparation of a Business Activity Statement (BAS).
- Checking figures and reporting for overall accuracy of the files.
- Reporting any irregularities in data to management and the accounting team.
- Producing balance sheets, income statements and other financial documents as needed.
- Introducing systems, efficiencies, automation and processes for the benefit of improving the overall value of client files.
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience in a bookkeeping role
- Previous experience in public practice environment highly regarded
- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping & Accounting preferred
- Driver’s license preferred
- Professional presentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow checklists, policies and procedures
- Proactive approach, enthusiastic attitude and a team player
The Position
- Permanent part-time role
- Starting from 12-15h per week, with the potential for more as the role grows
- Once settled into the role, predominately work from home with the requirement to be in the office 1 day a week only (Tuesdays)
- Mondays and Tuesdays are needed; hours and days for the rest of the week is flexible.
- The pay rate is negotiable and dependent on previous experience and ability to work autonomously
