Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team to work from home. The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial management, proficiency in Xero and experience in payroll and HR. This role provides the opportunity for a reliable and experienced bookkeeper to contribute to the success of our growing company.
Key responsibilities & duties
Ensuring financial processes and records are maintained and delivered in an accurate and timely manner including -
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Xero accounting software.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner. Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Payroll Services: Handle weekly payroll processing, employment agreements, onboarding of new employees, maintenance of employee data, entitlements calculations, and year-end STP finalisation.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare end-of-month financial reports for management review and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
Key Skills:
Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience as a Bookkeeper
Proficiency in Xero: Strong proficiency with Xero accounting software.
Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
Financial Management Experience: 5-10 years of demonstrated financial management, reporting, and control experience.
Proficiency in Xero: Strong proficiency in Xero accounting software.
Excel Skills: Proficient in Excel and across a range of MS suite platforms and other reporting systems and tools.
Financial Governance: A thorough understanding of financial governance practices.
Communication Skills: Exceptional communicator in writing, spoken word, and presentation.
