A fantastic opportunity has arisen in our CBD located boutique accounting firm for an enthusiastic Administration Support who is looking for diversity, challenge, and the chance to be part of a growing office.
You will support the Senior Accountants by providing an excellent, but not limited, bookkeeping service with minimal supervision in order to enhance internal and external client service. This is the opportunity to grow and learn on the job as the company grows too!
Key candidate skills and attributes will include:
- Entering all bank statements
- Data entry
- Accounts Receivable/Payable
- Bank and Credit Card Reconciliation
- Support with Payroll processing
- Monthly/Quarterly BAS preparations
- Adhoc Admin duties as required
- Provide administrative support to the team
- Troubleshoot a wide variety of requests and situations
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
About you:
- Strong oral and written skills combined with an excellent telephone manner
- Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive with excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills
- Once given direction, you must have the ability to work autonomously and think on your feet
- A high level of motivation and a detail-oriented individual who has desire to contribute to the ongoing growth and success of this great business and team
- Demonstrated ability to interact with and manage effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
To be considered:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a bookkeeping/accounting role with a minimum Cert IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting.
- Currently completing or have completed a Diploma or Bachelor qualification in accounting
- In-depth knowledge of business bookkeeping procedures
- Experienced in accounting software (MYOB, Reckon, QuickBooks, Xero and FYI) will be highly regarded
- Ability to problem-solve and think outside the square
- Good typing/data entry speed and intermediate/advanced MS Office skills
