Our firm is a specialist provider of Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) Administration services. We have been in the Superannuation business, providing a full SMSF service for more than 35 years.
Our associated company is a successful boutique Financial Planning firm which has been operating for around 30 years. We assist our client’s with all their wealth and retirement needs including tailored retirement and investment strategies.
About The Role
Based in West End, Brisbane, we are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our SMSF business. As the successful applicant, the Bookkeeper will be provided approx. 15 - 20 hours per week with minimum two full days a week (or 3 part time days).
We are flexible as the which days you work. After a settling in period, we would consider an arrangement where you can work at home for some of your time, but not fully working from home.
Some of the things you'll do in your new role are:
- generating tax invoices
- managing bank accounts & accounts payable/receivable
- payroll//superannuation
- preparation of BAS's
- managing the internal accounting aspect of the business
- Data Entry and Record Keeping: Accurately enter financial transactions into our accounting system (MYOB), ensuring that all records are up to date and well-organised.

About You
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Organisational Skills: A professional approach and the ability to identify and prioritise tasks
- Deadline driven with an attention to detail
- Ability to build rapport easily with a clients and work colleagues
- BAS lodgment experience
- Invoicing experience
- Payroll experience
- Book keeper experience
- Proficiency with MYOB accounting software
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word & Outlook
- Communication: Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Ethical Standards: High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information
