Yalari is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team helping support our organisation to deliver positive outcomes for Indigenous children.

The Role
You will apply your skills to assist the CFO deliver on the day-to-day financial function of the organisation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the entry and payment of supplier invoices, school invoices and corporate credit cards
- Reconciliation of bank accounts
- Assisting with month and quarter end procedures
- Preparation of various invoices to support the Accounts Receivable function
- Support with administrative duties as directed
Please note that the role is an on-site role based at Helensvale, Gold Coast - at present we do not offer flexible work options like work-from-home. We're accepting applications from candidates that are either keen to work full-time (38 hours a week) or part-time (min 30 hours a week).
The Suitable applicant will ideally possess:
- An adaptable and flexible mindset - as a small charity no two days look the same
- Good communication skills with an ability to build positive working relationships with staff and external stakeholders
- Strong aptitude for numbers
- Experience with Xero accounting solution
- 2+ years of experience ideally as a account payable clerk or bookkeeper within a finance team
- Qualifications in accounting or bookkeeping ideal but not essential if experienced.
