Senior Payroll Officer | $90,000 To $100,000 Base Plus Super

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proven Payroll Officer taking the natural progressive step in their career. In this role you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing across multiple entities & States. Our client uses various different EBA's and awards and have a payroll of 5,000+ employees. 

There is a fortnightly and monthly pay run and the payroll team are made up of 10, reporting to the Payroll Manager. Ideally you'll be coming from a similar, high-volume environment with exposure to large ERP systems such as ADP, Chris21 and/or SAP. 

The Challenge

Reporting into the Payroll Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

• Processing fortnightly and monthly payroll for 5,000+ staff.
• Processing Leave Calculations, Long Service, maternity and parental leave, Super and PAYG.
• Managing all payroll reporting. 
• Interpreting and adhering to the EBA’s and awards. 
• Applying advanced problem-solving skills to payroll processes and systems to resolve any service delivery issues. 
• Offering effective, clear and supportive communication to colleagues when necessary. 
• Planning and implementing all payroll changes in relation to new and amended industrial instruments.
• Overseeing other payroll team members to ensure pays are being processed accurately and on time.
• Assisting team members with queries & escalating them to the Payroll Manager when appropriate. 

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• 5+ years' experience in a complex corporate or shared services environment processing high volumes of weekly, fortnightly & monthly pay runs. 
• Experience with large ERP systems such as ADP, Chris21 and/or SAP. 
• Previous experience running reports and EOM
• Strong understanding of EBA's & Awards and hourly employees 
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and develop workplans to achieve deadlines 
• Ability to work well within a team environment
