Qualifications & experience
- You will have a very good command of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.
- You will be able to type at a speed of at least 60 words per minute with a high degree of accuracy
- You will have at least intermediate skills in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- You will be able demonstrate exemplary written and oral communication skills when communicating with customers
- You’ll be an avid reader, curious, and with knowledge of books across multiple fields. If you apply, please attach a letter in which you demonstrate this with reference to books you have recently read.

Tasks & responsibilities
- A part-time position, working 9 am to 2 pm weekdays, and one weekend shift in each 4 week-roster.
- In this position, you'll be responsible for walk-in, telephone, email and Online inquiries and sales
- You will monitor incoming orders, liaise with customers and suppliers to create, process and follow up orders, ensure that books are correctly picked from shelves, transact sales and liaise with the Dispatch department to ensure prompt and accurate delivery to customers.
- Your duties will include database entry and maintenance, special order processing, customer exchanges and returns.
- You will fulfill other duties in other store areas as requested by management.
