SalaryWilliam Adams Dandenong branch is our very successful facility for reconditioning, repairing, and rebuilding heavy diesel and gas engines, along with specialised hydraulics.
Our qualified and highly experienced team have been rebuilding diesel and gas engines in the Earthmoving, Agricultural, Power Generation, Transport and Marine Industries for over 30 years. We are also the authorised regional dealer and repairer for MaK engines, and more recently have made significant investment in equipment, technology and process capability to support the growing specialised hydraulics industry.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to an internal move, we have this great opportunity for an experienced and motivated operational Manager to provide leadership and direction to our hard working team, while supporting our loyal customers.
You will be accountable for leading and empowering a team of 20+ dedicated individuals.
Your key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Being a hands-on leader in driving a safety-first culture, including a major focus on contamination control & continual improvement
- Leading of all branch employees and creating a positive culture
- Ongoing customer and key stakeholder management
- Overseeing and guiding the operations of all departments
- Financial accountability of the branch including budgets
You will have superior technical experience and knowledge of heavy engines and associated components and will be continuous improvement focused.
You will be an excellent communicator and collaborator, who enjoys interacting on all levels with internal and external stakeholders. Your sound commercial acumen will drive the branch’s growth and performance, ensuring at all times we are being and exceeding our customer needs.

- Natural leadership ability with a proven record to engage, motivate and manage a successful workshop team
- Proven operational knowledge of Sales, Parts and Service
- Extensive experience with large engines & engine components
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulic cylinders and rods
- Solid administration and commercial management skills
- Sound conflict resolution, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Safety and contamination control focused
- Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Trade Qualification would be highly regarded
