About the role
The WA Electoral Commission is appointing three Project Officers within the Election Operations division. The Project Officers will be integral to the delivery of the State General Election in 2025 and the Local Government Election in 2025. These are fixed term Full-Time positions for up to two (2) years appointment, with the possibility of extension or permanency.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancies, it may also be used to fill other “similar” vacancies that become available at the Commission. In addition to this, should the successful applicants decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
About you
We are looking for keen and enthusiastic officers who enjoy being part of a team and have good administrative and communication skills. You must be able to follow direction by your supervisor and see your tasks through to completion and will maintain accurate records and files.
You will work within the Election Operations Division and as a member of the WAEC will work to achieve its objectives, comply with its values and provide services which are in accordance with existing frameworks.

Eligibility
To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the duration of the contract.
All employees are required to undergo employment screening, which includes a Police Check and other checks that may be relevant to the position requirements.
The successful applicant will be required to sign a Declaration indicating they have no active or official connection with any political party and will maintain the necessary confidentiality to ensure the integrity of the Commission.
