THE ROLE  
Reporting to the Head of Brand Marketing and working closely with marketing colleagues; Channel Marketing Manager, Shopper Marketing Manager, Head of Digital, Research & Insights Manager and Communications Manager, this fast-paced role is responsible for Premium Brand Positioning and Brand Intellectual Property protection and Governance. Through managing a dedicated team and working with relevant agencies, you will own and assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of Milwaukee Brand plans ensuring they deliver in line with brand positioning objectives and market share targets.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Working with the Head of Brand Marketing and Channel Marketing Manager to co-create, communicate, and deliver the brand strategy and annual marketing plans.
  • Leverage consumer insights to design and implement brand strategies, including brand positioning, brand messaging, and communications to build brand consideration and new user acquisition
  • Utilise the Milwaukee Marketing Mix to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns supporting brand positioning and Unique Value Proposition.
  • Work closely with Communications Manager, to successfully communicate the Premium Brand Positioning Strategy to internal stakeholders and external audiences.
  • Protect Milwaukee’s Intellectual Property and provide Brand Governance to the wider business.
  • Ensure timely, accurate and business wide communications of brand initiatives and guidelines to both inform and instruct wider teams
  • Work cross-functionally within the business, in particular, the Channel Management team, to clearly define and understand key customer segments, ensuring all brand activities are designed to optimise customer experience and lifetime value
  • In line with business and channel objectives, effectively manage direct reports and 3rd party agencies to define and deliver against brand positioning and annual marketing plans. Additionally, manage the Creative Services Team ensuring governance and compliance across all branded print, digital, video and written content.
  • Champion “the process” to ensure brand plans and guidelines are effectively communicated with the Milwaukee NZ business unit
  • Budget management and reporting
  • Working with the People & Culture team and in collaboration with direct reports, develop relevant learning & development initiatives to enhance and retain talent
  • Ensure the values of the Milwaukee Way are upheld on a regular basis
  • Ensure adherence to all OH&S and company procedures 
  • Ensure all business activities comply with relevant acts, legal demands, and ethical standards
  • Adhoc management duties, as requested by senior management
 
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Significant senior level marketing and leadership experience (10+ years)
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to think on your feet
  • Experience gained in sales, commercial marketing roles that require strong influencing skills
  • Experience working with brand partners and managing key commercial relationships
  • Ability to sell a broad vision and engage people along the way - this requires strong strategic agility and the ability to deliver for today whilst strategically planning for tomorrow
  • Ability to work cross functionally with multiple stakeholders
  • Client (customer focused) vision
  • Excellent written, presentation and communication skills
  • High attention to detail, organised and the ability to multitask under pressure and work on a number of campaigns simultaneously
