Our client is a family owned and operated business with over 25+ years industry experience, and are Master Builders of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom Granny Flats and Home Extensions. They primarily build in Sydney, Illawarra, Hunter and the ACT, and are now breaking out into the home extension and renovation space.
Building around 300 projects a year, this Builder has expanded rapidly over the last 12-months and are now looking for a driven Building consultant with a strong construction background to join their ACT-based team.
About the Role
This role will have a niche focus on ground floor extensions / additions to the local market. Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for managing extension leads allocated to you by the head office and sales support team, and act as the main point of contact for the customer from their initial enquiry until contract signing.
This is a very autonomous role and you will be responsible for managing your own appointments and weekly schedule. This is an"on the road" role with the flexibility to work from home when you are not out meeting with prospective customers and clients.
This is an ideal role for a Builder or Trade who has run their own business in the past, or a Builder who is simply looking for a change from managing construction sites.
Day to day duties will include:
- Be pro-active in working new leads and the existing client database
- Conduct walk-throughs and home demonstrations for prospective buyers
- Guide customers through design, tendering and council approval process until contract signing
- Read and interpret site plans, technical drawings, contour plans and estimates
- Manage your own appointments and schedule for client meetings and sitings
- Liaising with the office support team such as estimating, drafting and planning departments
- Presenting building contracts and tenders
- Prior experience as a Trade working on the tools or a licensed Builder will be highly regarded
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of the BCA & NCC
- Prior experience working across home renovations or extensions
- Self motivated with the ability to work autonomously
- Exceptional presentation
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Monday to Friday role with no weekend work required
- Base salary between $70K - $80K + superannuation and commissions
- 5% commission on extension contracts
- Work for a well-known and reputable renovation, extension and granny flat builder in NSW
- Fully maintained company car provided
- Work with a quality and competitive market product to sell
