We are currently offering a FULL TIME opportunity for Sydney based Building Consultant.
With a strong Building background, including knowledge of proper construction methods, the BCA and Australian Standards, ideally, you will have experience in inspecting and reporting on building-related matters.
Undertaking forensic investigations, providing assessment as to cause of damage and, in some instances, developing a detailed scope of works for repair / reinstatement, you will need to be able have a thorough approach to the assessment of the issues and write clear, concise and substantiated reports in the context of an Insurance Claim.
Role Requirements
- Suitably experienced and qualified Builder (Licenced / Cert IV minimum)
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills; you must be articulate in both a technical and personal context (for e.g. writing complex technical reports that may be used in assessment of an Insurance Claim).
- You will be technically competent and ideally have a strong background in construction .
- A thorough understanding of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Insurance experience is preferred, but not essential.
