As we continue to invest in our capabilities, we have two newly created roles for Building Quality Compliance & Asset Officers to join Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) on a permanent full – time basis.
The successful applicants with assist to implement best practice asset management to ensure that all Southern Cross Care NSW & ACT properties are safe and compliant for the residents, visitors, public and workers, and is managed to maximise the benefits to stakeholders, the community and facility users.
You will be responsible for maintaining the asset register and maintenance schedules and undertaking regular condition inspections to support both asset and property management, maintenance of building hazardous material register.
This position is to support / mitigate the Property Departments approach to compliance, ensuring effective monitoring and reporting systems are utilised to capture, monitor, and mitigate against Property related risk. This position will actively support end to end asset management by assisting the Building Quality & Compliance Asset Manager with data capture, audits – both desktop and site, data input, and lifecycle assessments.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Asset Register: Maintain the asset register including processing works as executed, updating condition, and registering assets as components.
- Hazardous Materials: Maintain the buildings hazardous materials (e.g. asbestos) register including carry out periodic inspections, update and manage the register, provide data and reports to other staff.
- Investigations: Undertake regular inspections and investigations of property and lands to assist in asset and property management.
- Data Analysis: Assist in the analysis and review of asset data to know the status of asset management including regular reporting and monitoring.
- Works Briefs: Assist in the preparation of capital works briefs based on asset life cycle and compliance regulations.
- Record Keeping: Keep records using corporate systems to complete activities and capture data and generate reports for decision making.
- Support and Advice: Provide support and advice in relation to the asset management system to the group including creating templates and forms in databases, on the job training and support on the asset management system, mobile work orders and other asset related data collection devices and software.
- Work Review: Assess work reports and invoices for reportable assets and update the register.
Selection Criteria:
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent residency status essential (We do not off sponsorship for these roles).
- Demonstrated experience in an Asset Officer role, Facilities Management or similar
- Strong experience in asset assessment and lifecycle evaluation
- Proficiency in spreadsheet maintenance, data analytics
- Audit function experience
- Current drivers licence and able to travel including overnight stays across NSW and ACT
- Understanding of Australian standards and Building codes
Desirables:
- Working knowledge of application of Aged Care Accreditation Standards
- Application of fire regulation standards
- Understanding of Aged Care Design Principles
- Able to understand / read plans and diagrams
