Are you an experienced and professional Building Surveyor/Assessment Officer? Or are you a Swimming Pool Inspector, Compliance Officer, Draftsperson, Statutory Planner?wanting a change or to progress your career? Are you studying or looking to study building surveying? This is a flexible appointment that will be tailored to suit the experience levels of the successful candidate.
In this role you will have the following accountabilities:
Reporting to the Coordinator Building Services in a small and vibrant team, some of your core functions include:
- Assess all types of all statutory building application types within statutory timeframes and ensure compliance with the Building Code of Australia, State legislation, local government policies and any other regulatory requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service in the form of friendly and accurate building advice to both internal and external customers.
- Under guidance, conduct site inspection's, including pool barrier inspection.
Our preferred candidates will be able to demonstrate the following experiences and skillset:
- Experience with state building legislation, BCA and other relevant requirements
- Experience and knowledge of Planning and R Codes.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills, and an ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
- The ability to work in a small but vibrant team environment.
- Experience in the use multiple software platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A commitment to providing high level of internal and external customer service.
- The desire to progress and undertake study to achieve Building Surveyor Level certifications.
This is a flexible appointment, and we can tailor it to meet the experience levels of the candidate. We will negotiate a great salary with you, but it will depend on the experience you bring to the role.
