We are Civil Geotechnical Consultants (CGC) - a civil engineering company that provides geotechnical engineering solutions for transport, energy and civil infrastructure, and have been involved in many nation-building infrastructure projects such as the Coomera Connector, major Bruce Highway upgrades and Cross River Rail. The role will offer you the chance to be part of the Corporate Services team and will involve the following:
Financial
- Manage the day-to-day financial tasks: Xero inputs, reconciliations, accounts receivable/payable
- Manage payroll tasks, leave, expense claims
- Maintain the asset register
- Assist with insurance and tax
Social Impact (SI)
- Manage CGC’s ongoing social impact initiatives (ie. mentoring, workshops, career pathways), maintaining regular communication with our social partners
- Assist with the measurement and evaluation of our social initiatives
HR
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding of new staff and general HR tasks
Administration, Operations & Opportunities
- Assist with documentation required for panels/tenders/submissions
- Assist with the internal audit and updates of our systems, policies and processes to ensure compliance and continual improvement of our ISO accredited Business Management Systems for Quality, WH&S and Environment.
- General administration tasks
What you bring to CGC:
- Attention to detail and impressive communication skills (both oral and written).
- Ability to work as part of a small team but also independently.
- Ability to develop relationships across all levels of business.
- Experience working in the corporate functions of a business.
- Knowledge and experience of using Office 365 and SharePoint
- Experience with accounting software (Xero preferred).
- Experience in internal auditing of projects and systems for Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental Business Management compliance (desirable).
- Experience working in an Engineering environment (desirable).
