Are you ready to take on an exciting challenge in the realm of cloud migration? Our client, a dynamic and forward-thinking company, is seeking a talented Business Analyst to join their team for an important project. As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in migrating their business applications from on-premises data centers to an Azure-based cloud platform.
Key Responsibilities
Data Source Discovery:
- Utilize tools such as Dr Migrate, App Dynamics, LogRhythm, SCOM, and Grafana to identify and assess servers and SQL databases for migration.
Dependency Mapping:
- Conduct thorough mapping of application-to-server dependencies, app-to-app dependencies, network dependencies, and database dependencies to ensure a seamless migration process.
Analysis:
- Develop an initial treatment plan and conduct data gap analysis to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with application owners and business units to gather requirements and create roadmaps.
- Project cloud spend and analyze PII data to ensure compliance with regulations.
Tracking & Reporting:
- Track application changes and maintain a migration tracking dashboard for real-time updates.
- Monitor on-premises infrastructure changes and report on progress.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a cloud migration or IT project environment.
- Proficiency in utilizing migration tools such as Dr Migrate, App Dynamics, LogRhythm, SCOM, and Grafana.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to map dependencies accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, is a plus.
