Job Posting Title: Business Analyst Electrification & Innovation – Multiple Opportunities
Our Electrification & Innovation (E&I) business empowers Australians to transition towards a cleaner energy future. As an end-to-end electrification business, we focus on developing leading, sustainable and scalable electrification products at pace, constantly improving our offerings to deliver the best value to our customers. We further actively invest in exploring novel concepts, incubating the best ideas into products that have the potential to radically transform the way Australians live for generations to come.
We currently have multiple opportunities across our Electrification & Innovation (E&I) business that would combine efforts towards providing support for the exploration and validation of concepts at pace through a structured, data-driven development process to determine product-market fit. In addition, the development, delivery and iteration of electrification products, help build AGL as a market leader in the Australian Electrification market.
Key accountabilities of this role
Data Analysis and Insights: Undertake a range of tasks that involve analysing data and presenting insights. This includes extracting data and processing it for basic product reporting; analysing sales, channels and customer data; and analysing market/competitor data for ‘horizon one’ (near term).
Support the Product Owner by conducting comprehensive research, both internal and market-based, to develop and iterate product features and requirements aligned with E&I's strategy and OKRs.
User Engagement, Conduct user research to gain insights into user needs, preferences, and behaviours related to electrification products. Engage with end-users through surveys, interviews, and usability testing to inform the development process.
Proof of Concept Development, Create prototypes and models to visually represent the proposed features and functionalities of products and concepts under development.
Testing, Own the execution of test cases, scripts, and scenarios to identify and report defects, anomalies, and inconsistencies. This includes all aspects of product functionality, performance, and user experience.
Documentation Ownership, Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, data flow charts, and process flows, to aid in the understanding of the products being developed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Active collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Digital/Technology resources, Service Designers, Visual Designers and Marketing Specialists to ensure testing activities align with innovation objectives and timelines.
Qualifications, key skills and experience required
Bachelor’s degree in a subject related to business, science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
Proven experience (2+ years) within a business analysis or product development role, demonstrating the ability to effectively problem solve.
Previous Energy experience or prior work on consumer electrification products (such as rooftop solar, solar batteries, virtual power plants or electric vehicles) in Australia is highly desirable.
Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, such as user manuals and/or system architecture diagrams. And familiarity with navigating relevant regulations and laws on emerging technologies
Ability to engage with and manage stakeholders at various levels, including key internal stakeholders and end-users.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to systematically identify, isolate, and report defects. With a collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
