We are currently looking for a Business Analyst to join an International Fund Manager in Sydney!
Reporting to the Director of Sales - ETF Listings, The Quantitative Analyst is responsible for performing qualitative and quantitative analysis to support the Australian ETF listings business. The role plays a critical role in providing existing and prospective issuers with value-add business intelligence, as well as competitive and market research to help grow the Australian ETF business.Additional responsibilities would include communicating with internal stakeholders around the ETF listings business, documenting business requirements and continuously looking for opportunities to streamline operations through automation for all aspects that pertain to listings business analysis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Qualitative Analysis
- Research and maintain competitive summaries including service descriptions, pricing, customer targets, etc.
- Research and maintain prospect lists for ETF listings and track market share metrics.
Quantitative Analysis
- Respond to ad-hoc data requests from issuers and prospective issuers, liaising with the Execution Consulting team as necessary, utilizing programs such as Tableau, Salesforce, SQL, Bloomberg and Excel.
- Contribute to financial forecasting, budget process, revenue projections, and business trend analysis.
- Contribute to the development of pricing models with variable inputs and outputs to fully assess business impact of various fee changes.
Product & Sales Support
- Assist in developing presentations, white papers, and other materials to communicate the value of the client’s Listings.
- Support sales and operations as needed through assisting in customer onboarding, customer inquiries, and helping to drive operational efficiencies.
- Document requirements, write meeting notes, capture action items for various stakeholders – both internally and externally as needed.
- Ad-hoc project management as required.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of working in the ETF industry (fund manager, custodian, exchange etc.)
- Solid understanding of capital markets is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex analysis in a complex manner
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to plan and prioritise multiple tasks.
