Where the team fits in
The role is within Customer 360 tribe in the Customer Marketplace Portfolio of Customer Product & Experience group. The tribe manages the platform and data that powers the best customer experiences. This tribe is accountable for different customer experiences like onboarding, contract management, managing agency and profile information while supporting sales flows. This tribe is also Data owner and publishes foundational dataset making it easily accessible to draw insights and decisions.
The BA role is for Cupid squad in Customer 360 tribe. This team owns the mission to transform the way the rest of the business accesses, consumes and draws insights from our Customer data. The squad is responsible for cleaning up our data, modelling our customer data to represent the real world, create connected customer data and finally make it accessible via the REA Data Platform (BigQuery) for use by analytics, data science and engineering teams across REA.?You will be working with other teams in Customer Product and Analytics teams to understand and analyse requirements for data modelling and make it meaningful for the team.
What the role is all about
- Understanding complex business landscapes and clearly articulating business needs from a varied group of stakeholders.
- Translating business requirements into clear, concise, testable and accurate user stories & process flows.
- Collaborating with Product Managers, Delivery Leads, Developers and Data Engineers in the production of the foundational datasets.
- Scoping the most valuable datasets for the Customer Platform team to produce and designing detailed data specifications for each.
- Assisting in the data quality assurance process and testing.?
- Documenting our databases and infrastructure landscape using techniques such as data flow diagrams, entity relationship diagrams, data schemas, etc.?
- Identifying and communicating any requirement dependencies, issues or risks identified through the analysis process.
- Participating in estimation sessions by describing the requirements and clarifying any questions raised.
- Using your analytical skills to triage and support production issues.
- Facilitating and participating in team standups, retrospectives & iteration planning sessions;
- Communicating constantly with key stakeholders, team mates and other people throughout the company.
- Contributing to the REA BA Guild.
Who we're looking for
- Ability to interpret business needs and guide the development of appropriate solutions.
- Experience in data analysis, data design and data modelling.
- Developed specification writing skills via user stories.
- Ability to converse with end-users, as well as technical and business stakeholders across the organisation.
- Solid understanding of all aspects of the systems/software agile development cycle.
- Developed problem solving skills and ability to look at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lens.
- Intermediate SQL skills.
- A love of documentation to go with excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.?
- Effective time management and prioritisation.
- Experience using Agile and Lean methodologies
- Work productively in a fast paced and agile environment
