We currently have an opportunity for a Business Analyst to support our Shared Services team and our core businesses within the mining sector.
About the Role:
The Business Analyst reports to the General Manager of Commercial and Finance but works day to day with other members of our shared services team and business managers ensuring information is accurately collected, analysed, and presented for informed decision-making across all departments and levels of the organisation.
The role is responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining a suite of dynamic reports and dashboards using accounting and rostering software, showcasing key performance indicators (KPIs), workforce metrics, and operational trends.
- Transform raw data to provide insights, reports, visualisations, and forecasts.
- Identify sources of data for existing and new reports.
- You will produce and customise reports and analysis.
- You will establish business operations data sets, service targets and benchmarks
- Coordinate & deliver cyclical, timely and accurate reporting including financial and business metrics.
- Maintenance of data sources, user permissions and managing communications to stakeholders.
- You will work with other teams to optimise data capture and analysis, identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and to track, measure and report operations and service delivery performance.
Experience required:
- 2 years in similar or equivalent role.
- Advanced excel experience.
- Experience using a range of formats, tools and systems to present data and reports to user needs.
- Preferred experience with Power BI.
- Proactive self-starter with strong time management abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship skills.
- Ability to produce informative data visualisations and willingness to learn new techniques and tools.
- Proven ability to manage projects, multi-task and adjust work priorities and modes of work to get high quality results.
