The Opportunity
As part of the La Trobe Financial TechOps team, Business Analysts are responsible for maintaining and improving the overall platform and applications for La Trobe Financial and its customers by collaboratively designing new digital solutions with the aim of improving business efficiency and productivity
Key Responsibilities
- Analysing La Trobe's systems, platform and business models.
- Collaborating with stakeholders, business units, and other team members to elicit requirements and understand priorities.
- Identity and articulate scope, dependencies, impacts and risks.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of La Trobe Financial’s business processes and service offering.
- Mapping and documenting interfaces between systems.
- Defining initiatives from concept through to the delivery of business outcomes.
- Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability.
- Define and agree the acceptance criteria of user stories with the business teams. Ensure this criteria is captured in requirements.
- Facilitate story elaboration and requirements gathering workshops, kick offs and reviews as needed.
- Facilitate Agile rituals (Daily Stand-ups, Retros, Sprint planning, Backlog refinement and Showcases).
- Facilitate communication and implementation of business process changes as required.
- Manage the project backlog - facilitate scope, estimation and prioritisation.
About you
- Minimum of five (5)+ years’ experience in a similar role in a digital environment.
- Proven experience in digital and agile BA practices
- Experience in the following areas:
- Iteration Manager or Scrum master.
- Working collaboratively with cross functional teams.
- Facilitating discovery workshops.
- Elaborating stories/requirements with acceptance criteria.
- Change management.
- Strong ability to converse with stakeholders and team members across all levels of the organisation.
- Good understanding of all aspects of the software development life cycle.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Sound ability to analyse, isolate and interpret business needs and develop appropriate technical solutions.
