The Role and our Branch
The System Services and Responses branch is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Business Coordinator at Statewide Services, Padbury.

You will provide leadership in facilities coordination at Padbury Statewide Services and work with Statewide Services leaders, and your manager, to provide divisional support. Critical to the role will be your:

Statewide Services provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. The Padbury Statewide Services site is a large, complex site that hosts professional learning, houses staff across a range of teams, and is a facility accessed by families and external providers. Given this, you will implement effective facilities management practices to ensure the smooth running of the Padbury Statewide Services site. This will include a proactive approach in ensuring the integrity of the site’s operations.
The business requirements of the Padbury Statewide Services site, will require you to:
- develop, implement and monitor effective asset management (including vehicle fleet)
- coordinate strategies for site facilities, equipment and buildings by effectively using innovative approaches, systems and processes.
- coordinate contracts for goods and services, relevant to maintaining facilities, in accordance with policies and procedures.
- support Divisional financial planning, processes and budgeting for the Division
- provide information to the leadership team as required
- manage financial and information management processes
- support Divisional compliance with relevant legislation and Departmental policies and guidelines.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter.
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check if required
