Job description

Why Smartgroup?

Look forward to working with Australia's leading and most trusted provider of Employee Management Services, making the benefits of salary packaging, novated leasing, and fleet management readily available to employers and their employees.

Working at Smartgroup offers more than a job. It is a dynamic workplace that matches the enthusiasm for the work you do and ambition for an exciting fast-paced career. We have all been hired for a purpose and a reason.

Every day you will be part of a team that helps support fellow Australians - many working in essential services, corporates, government, and not-for-profits - to take home more money in their pay packets.

Do you have what it takes to become a Smartgroup Business Development / Bid Coordinator?

At Smartgroup, we encourage you to aim for excellence rather than settling for the status quo.

We are seeking a passionate and well organised Team Assistant/Bid Coordinator to join our Business Development (BD) team across all segments.

You will collaborate closely with our Bid Managers to assist in the preparation, management, and submission of high-quality bids and proposals. This role is crucial in supporting the BD team to win new business and retain existing clients.

Duties include:

  • Support the Bid team to coordinate, and input tailored content ensuring key themes are addressed
  • Undertake quality reviews, including expert formatting in Word, utilising your meticulous proofreading skills
  • Coordinate the drafting and review process to ensure tender timeframes are met with a high standard of quality
  • Support the Bid Managers to draft high-quality tender content that meets the criterion of the bid, puts the client at the heart of the proposal and is of a "best practice" standard.
  • Assist with general bid administration tasks including formatting bid material, maintaining templates and document control, and building an accurate library to support the tender process.
  • Monitoring timelines and deadlines to ensure that bid submissions are completed and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Any other administrative tasks as requested that contribute to the smooth operation of our team.

Key requirements:

  • Experience in a B2B sales environment, preferably within financial services or a mid-tier organisation is ideal but not essential.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Degree qualification with a business or journalism major, or relevant experience in a similar role
  • Confidence and experience with Microsoft Office 360 products - Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint are essential
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and manage multiple activities whilst maintaining composure
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, including a proven ability to develop relationships with internal stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce is desirable but not essential

Belong to an organisation that values diversity, inclusivity, and you:

Working at Smartgroup, means you will be working in one of Australia's most authentic, inclusive, and diverse workplaces.

Team members enjoy many benefits and 'perks' that genuinely value them for who they are. You might appreciate some, or all, including:

  • 3 extra days off to enjoy summer
  • ‘MAD' days to Make a Difference to our community and environment
  • Birthday leave to celebrate you
  • A wellbeing fund to spend your way
  • Support for all parents with a progressive, gender-neutral parental leave policy: up to 20 weeks Paid Parental Leave, superannuation contributions and a Return-to-Work Bonus
  • Salary packaging and novated leasing benefits (of course!)

Take your career Beyond Further:

Working at Smartgroup can provide a pathway to a career limited only by your own ambitions. We are passionate about investing in you.

Our collaborative team environment and supportive leadership encourages strong performance, learning and development, open lines of communication, along with the freedom to speak up and be heard.

At Smartgroup, careers can go Beyond Further!
