ET Australia is a community based not for profit organisation operating on the NSW Central Coast, on Darkinjung Country since 1977. The organisation’s objective is to provide students with the skills to be successful in employment and/or further study through the provision of adult vocational training at ET Australia Training College and high school education at ET Australia Secondary College (ETASC).

Our facilities in Gosford City Centre host a team of 80 professionals and 407 students, 257 students in ETASC and 150 in the Training College. ET Australia prioritises diversity and a respectful, supportive atmosphere.

Position Overview:
As the Business Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading our Business Development efforts and coordinating impactful events that align with our organisational objectives. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your strategic vision, sales expertise, and creative flair to expand our market presence and foster meaningful connections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive Business Development strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Identify and foster new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations to enhance our competitive edge.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships and drive business success.
- Conceptualise, plan, and execute a diverse range of events.
- Oversee all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, budgeting and onsite coordination, to ensure seamless execution.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote events, drive attendance, and enhance brand visibility.
- Recruit for entry-level positions on behalf of ET Australia’s employer clients.
- Evaluate the success of Business Development initiatives and events through metrics such as ROI analysis, attendee feedback, and client engagement.
While your primary focus will be on Business Development and events, it is essential to highlight the importance of being an active team player. Our team operates most effectively when everyone is willing to lend a hand and support each other as needed. You will be required to assist with operational tasks, including helping with enrolment enquiries, coordinating information sessions, and support ET Australia’s product specialist during peak times.
Qualifications/Skills and Experience:
Qualifications in or working towards a qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field would be an advantage but not essential.
- Proven track record of success in Business Development, sales, and event management, preferably in education.
- Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated experience in strategic planning, negotiation, and relationship building.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and innovation in event planning and execution.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
