VAILO is an Australian advanced technology company specialising in manufacturing ultra-high-performance LED sports lighting and as a premier solutions provider of LED digital displays tailored to sporting venues and major outdoor events.

About the Role

The Business Development Executive NSW reports to the Chief Commercial Officer and will work alongside the BDE in NSW. The BDE is responsible for driving sales opportunities through existing and new B2B sales pipelines as well as developing business leads into converted projects in New South Wales. This role will require effective Business Development techniques and a strong ability to build positive internal and external stakeholder relationships while leveraging opportunities from industry and sporting partnerships. Further responsibilities include:

• Implementing the sales strategy across key market segments in New South Wales to ensure a clear path for aggressive growth.

• Assisting the Business Development Team in managing stakeholder relationships, such as state government decision-makers in tender processes, local government councils, major venues and sports facilities, commercial facilities, peak sports bodies, private education, architects, and electrical contractors.

• Working collaboratively with the Business Development Team to ensure the commercial strategy is aligned and resourced accordingly to achieve key objectives.

• Completing quotes, proposals, tender submissions, developing presentations and proposals as required.

• Keeping up to date with current and upcoming funding opportunities.

• Following up on leads and referrals resulting from field activity and marketing activity, including researching new categories and segments relevant to VAILO.

• Conducting site visits and assessments as required.

• Preparing a range of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.

• Keeping informed of new products, services, and the market landscape, and networking in relevant areas.

• Managing the sales administration function, operational performance reporting, and creating an environment where customer relationship management is a priority.

• Utilising current business skills and networks to grow the company.

• Identifying and reporting to senior management on any emerging trends, issues, and/or risk factors that may impact the effectiveness, sustainability, and company growth.

About you

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Business Development Executive with a keen interest in working within the sporting and large-scale event space, promoting high-performance LED lights and digital displays. The ideal candidate for this role will bring a strong understanding of the manufacturing and supply sector, along with exceptional networking skills and a keen eye for time management and planning. An understanding of LED lighting and LED digital displays is highly regarded, but not essential.

Business development experience is a must, as you will be responsible for driving growth and cultivating valuable relationships. Your forward-thinking and innovative approach to liaising and negotiating with clients, engineers, and designers will set you apart from the rest.
