Business Development Manager (BDM) at Step Fwd IT
Overview: Step Fwd IT is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager (BDM) to spearhead our growth initiatives within the Education (independent Secondary Schools) and SME sectors (industrial / manufacturing business with Multiple offices in Melbourne, Brisbane & Sydney).
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in generating new business opportunities, fostering enduring client relationships, and amplifying our market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategize and execute business growth plans, identifying lucrative partnership opportunities.
- Cultivate, manage, and sustain long-lasting relationships with our clientele.
- Employ critical thinking for strategic planning to ensure the success of projects.
- Conduct business meetings with potential clients to discuss cooperation possibilities.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of our product offerings and their unique value propositions to effectively address client needs.
- Engage in negotiations with stakeholders to secure and maintain business engagements.
- Stay abreast of industry trends at both local and national levels to inform strategic decisions.
- Champion our suite of products/services by aligning them with or anticipating client objectives.
- Deliver reliable feedback and exceptional post-sale support to build trust and client satisfaction.
- Foster collaborations with internal teams, engineering/presales support, executives & marketing teams, to achieve collective goals.
- Develop and nurture relationships within our local partner community, including partner BDMs, to strengthen our network.
Candidate Profile:
A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in Business Development, preferably within the technology sector or educational domain.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective Business Development strategies.
Goal-driven, with a keen focus on achieving sales targets.
A fervent learner, eager to stay updated with the latest technological advancements and enhance personal skills.
Remuneration and Commission:
- A base salary of up to $120,000 plus superannuation.
- A commission structure activated upon achieving Net new $5,000 in sales (ex GST) per month
- Commissions payments will be paid 1 quarter in arrears
- MRR commission will equivalent to the first month’s Net new MRR sale capped at 150% of Target (ex GST)
- Professional Services commission will be 5% of the professional services fee (ex gst) capped at 150% of Target.
